Wedding Videography High Definition and Standard Definition Resolutions

     High Definition video, TV, and DVD's display a resolution greater than the Standard Definition of "720 x 480" lines of resolution. A Tic-Tac-Toe game can be considered a "3 x 3" resolution because there are 3 rows and 3 columns. A Standard Definition resolution video or TV has 720 columns and 480 rows of resolution or color imformation that creates the viewable picture. Certainly if you increase the resolution you will increase the color information and the detail and life in the picture. All things considered, High Definition is very good.

     High Definition comes in these resolutions:
          "1280 x 720"        "1440 x 1080"       "1920 x 1080"

     Additionally, the definition can be displayed as Interlaced or Progressive Video. TV uses only Interlaced while DVD's and movies can use Progressive video which gives a film-like appearance.

     It is advantageous to capture your Wedding Video in Hi-Def even if you don't currently have a Hi-Def display. Someday you will and it will great to have the extra quality of High Definition.
