Wedding Videography Storing Raw FootageRaw footage is defined as the actual digital information produced by the camera. It could be in many different formats. We create Raw Footage in two different formats, both digital. Our Standard Definition cameras create digital video information in the Mini DV format and store it on small tapes called Mini DV Tapes. It is a solid and long living medium and stores about an hour of full quality video per 60 minute tape. These tapes are relatively inexpensive. Ten hours of Raw Video Footage, and average two camera wedding, costs about $50 to store long term on Mini DV Tapes. These tapes are given to you free of charge. Our High Definition cameras temporarily store the Raw Footage digital video information on Flash memory cards and the information must be transfered to Hard Drives (2). This digital information can be stored long term on Hard Disc Drives at a current cost of about $25. If you want the Raw Footage you will need to pay for a small Hard Disc Drive that will be given to you with the Raw Footage Digital information on it. |
